"FEMA announced on Memorial Day that 6,953 homes were destroyed in Joplin by the tornado on May 22 and only 4,006 were insured. St. John's Regional Medical Center was moved four inches off its foundation (a 12-story building).
The hallways of my church, A Church Called Mystery, and many other organizations are overflowing with relief supplies-it looks like we have plenty of water, food, and clothing. What's needed going forward is funding to help tornado victims rebuild their homes and lives.
